I grew up in a small town of the Northwest part of Transylvania, Romania. From an early age, I was dreaming about America and the white sand beaches of the Caribbean. And now I am living my dream. I fell in love with a great man and we now have 3 beautiful children.
Growing up, I practiced ballroom dancing and I was always into fitness. Cardio based dance classes were my focus for many years and still love all genres of dance from ballet to cha cha and everything in between. Before my very first Baptiste inspired Yoga practice (back in 2008) I thought of Yoga as a light, new way of physical stretches. I thought it would be boring compared to the high intensity of rhythmic movements I was used to in dance. But I was always curious and ready to try new classes. And, oh boy, was I in for a surprise!
The meditation in motion (the physical practice) we practice in Baptiste Yoga was and is an opportunity to create my own authentic kind of dance. It’s the kind of dance that declutters all physical and emotional debris I collect while living this beautiful life. But Baptiste Yoga is so much more than just a physical practice. Through Asana, Meditation & Inquiry, I discovered so much of whom I really am in each moment and that I can become whomever I set my intention to be for myself and everyone else around me.
My favorite part of teaching Yoga is to see my students radiate in awe when they reach a space in their body they didn’t find before, especially when they thought they can never get there. It is not just a new pose that they achieve but they breakthrough the barrier of self-doubt and limiting belief. And that is my ultimate goal to empower each and every soul on and off the mat because we are all free to be who we decide to be.
I am a 300 Hour Certified Baptiste Leader, 200 Hour Yoga Alliance RYT & the founder of Q-Life Fitness. My mentors include: Baron Baptiste, Paige Elenson, Melissa Hayden Leach, Luca Richards. I am Certified Barre, Pilates teacher and I am as well AFAA certified to teach group fitness classes. I have been teaching Yoga and group fitness classes since 2010.

I run regularly and strength train. Just quick hits to stay healthy. About a year ago, I started yoga with Mihaela/Q Life Fitness, as a way to incorporate some stretching once weekly. I was totally new to yoga, but Mihaela made it so easy to start by emphasizing modifications for the yoga poses. Mihaela is very welcoming, positive and encouraging. I found that each of us in the class was at a different level of flexibility but each pose was doable for everyone; some might just go a bit further into a pose. I had zero flexibility when I started. Really, I could hardly touch my toes without my legs shaking. I felt an immediate difference after the first class, My limbs and hips felt more loose; I felt lighter; my body felt more relaxed. As I continue to practice I am still benefiting from increased flexibility, but focusing on the poses and pushing myself to go further in each pose has also helped me find concentration, increased balance and a bit of empowerment. As you gain more flexibility, Mihaela prompts you to take a pose to the next level. It can be challenging but with her encouragement and adjustments you find yourself trying. And next thing you know you are doing something you didn't think you could do! Mihaela walks through the class with great attention and works with each student to improve techniques for maximum benefits and progression. I highly recommend Q Life Fitness' Vinyasa classes for those who wish to increase their flexibility. You will find that you will get that and more!

I am a father of two young children and owner of an ecological landscape restoration business that started practicing yoga with Mihaela four months ago. My main concern before starting yoga with Q life fitness was my ability to align my mind, body and spirit in order to find peace and be a better father and employer. I also felt the changes in my body as a thirty five year old male and wanted to regain strength and flexibility.My first yoga class with QLF was awesome. I had practiced yoga before, but never in a group setting. The energy in the studio felt supportive and invigorating.Classes at QLF build my self-confidence and I find a respite from a very busy week on Sunday mornings. They have a restorative effect. They also help me to reflect and recenter.I would, and do, recommend QLF’s yoga to anyone, beginner to advanced, as Mihaela helps guide you into new levels as a practitioner regardless of one’s skill set. It is hard to put a value to the meditative portions of Mihaela’s practices. Her guidance is subtle, yet always present. It has assisted me in gaining insight into myself including my weaknesses, my strengths and how I can be the best version of me for the benefit of those around me each day.
I am a graduate student at the University of Connecticut. I have been playing softball since I was 9 years old, and I started to participate in CrossFit workouts when I met one of my best friends in college. In May 2016, I decided I wanted to increase my flexibility because I was dealing with some back pain. When my mom joined a local gym, I decided to try a yoga class (at this point, I mostly practiced at home). By pure chance, my first yoga class was with Mihaela, and I never turned back. As an athlete, I crave challenges, and Mihaela helps me get deeper into poses I never thought I would be able to do. I have tried yoga with other instructors on vacations or in the other gyms I attend, but I always leave a little unsatisfied. Mihaela has been my only yoga instructor who really encourages me to trust myself and step outside of my comfort zone. I also love that we do not take ourselves too seriously in Mihaela's classes; if we fall out of a balancing posture, we simply smile and try again. I went to school out of state for my undergraduate education, and every semester I couldn't wait until I could return home so I could start practicing with Mihaela again. Since I started about a year and a half ago, I have seen improvements in my flexibility (I can touch my toes for the first time since I was in elementary school!) and confidence. I would absolutely recommend Q-Life Fitness to anyone who is willing to try.

I always felt if I wasn’t running I️ wasn’t working hard enough, at least, until about 6 months ago when I️ joined Mihaela’s /Q- Life Fitness yoga class. Mihaela creates a judgment free climate that teaches you to “get out of your head” and into the moment. She encourages us to be purposeful with our movement and guides you physically and verbally into a pose. With her assistance, I’ve corrected my form and it’s made all the difference. Her passion for yoga is contagious and present at every class. She offers modifications so everyone is working at their potential. She reminds us to activate our muscles, create a strong foundation and to trust ourselves. More importantly, she emphasizes how breathing is essential to the practice and our individual success. I work part time and take classes at MCC, and I’ve been practicing yoga with Mihaela for one year this coming January. I moved to South Windsor in June of 2016 and was looking for a yoga class that was affordable. I found Mihaela’s class which had a great intro rate so I decided to attend a class. I was hooked! I had been to a few other yoga studios across the state and the two things that really stand out with Mihaela’s classes are the different moves and poses we do each week and the individual assisting that she does during the class. I easily get bored with a class if we do the same moves every week. This never happens with Mihaela’s yoga! I always feel like I’m doing the poses slightly off, but with assistance from Mihaela you get the “Aha!” moments which are so beneficial! I would HIGHLY recommend this class to anyone! It’s engaging, fun, and allows you to try out different things with no pressure. Mihaela’s yoga class is perfect for anyone who wants to take time for themselves and get away from the craziness of life, even if it’s just for 75 minutes!
